Radio Presenter. Voiceover Artist.
Ready to be playful. Ready to collaborate.
Voice Demos.
Nice To Meet You.
Hi! I’m Rachel Wilkes, a Radio Presenter and Voiceover Artist based in London, UK. I use my voice to bring creative, corporate, and broadcasting projects to life.
Passionately driven by my work, I care deeply for the connection I make with clients and colleagues, creating something together audiences will just love.
I get involved in all sorts of VO, but I have a particular interest in: Commercials, Corporate, E-Learning/Explainer, TV Continuity, Promo, and Radio Imaging.
Radio.
I work as a Radio Presenter for Vibe 107.6 FM, a local station that brings chit chat, music and a smile to the community of Watford and Hertfordshire. I present their flagship Breakfast Show Thursday-Saturday. My shows are light-hearted, warm with a special emphasis on arts and culture happening in Herts.
I’m experienced at:
Developing ear-grabbing content,
Writing my own radio cues and promo scripts that are snappy and keep to time.
Doing the necessary prep and research for interviews with guests from the local community.
Using both the Zetta and Myriad broadcasting software systems.
My Voice.
Cosy. Clear. Confident.
My natural speaking voice has a neutral London lilt, with some soft Northern accentuations, coming from my Midlands roots, which can be heightened or reduced.
My voice has often been described as being assured and trusting, as well as, bright and bubbly.
Training as an actor has put me in good stead for character work and I can offer a range of voices. Please get in touch if you’d like to find out more.
With London as my main base, I can swiftly get to studios in the capital at short notice. I also have a car and easy access to the M25 for jobs further afield in the UK.
Home Studio.
I have a quality home studio facility that gives me the flexibility to offer work to a broader range of clients. I can connect through Cleanfeed, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
I understand the need of having someone reliable and trustworthy. Therefore, from prep, to recording, to editing and follow up, I’m there every step of the way to ensure we’re happy with the end results. And of course, guaranteeing we have some fun along the way.
Have a listen to my home studio sample below to get a feel of the space.

More About Me.
A life of performing seemed inevitable for me. As a child, I loved telling stories, dressing up in DIY costumes, and entertaining people. Thankfully not much has changed!
Keeping hold of my child-like enthusiasm, I honed my craft whilst training at the drama school Rose Bruford College. I also spent an incredible semester on the acting programme at Columbia College in Chicago, USA. My eyes were opened up to the world of voiceover when I received coaching through The Voiceover Network and Voiceover Kickstarter. I haven’t looked back since.
I’ve worked across theatre, independent film, commercials and radio as a voiceover artist, broadcaster, and actor.
I often get called a dark horse. As laid back and unflappable as I seem on the outside, underneath I’m fiercely driven by my work.
When I’m not busy performing, you’ll either find me doing some zen yoga with Jazz playing in the background, or busting some moves on the dance floor when my inner Disco Queen needs unleashing.
